Cork is perhaps one of the most sustainable products on earth and it is the primary source for bottle stoppers, with many applications in many sectors, in various industries, such as construction, automotive, fashion, etc... The bark of the tree - Quercus suber, commonly called the cork oak or “Sobreiro” in Portugal - is harvested without cutting the tree down, and it renews every 9 to 12 years, also, recyclable and biodegradable, hence the sustainability of this amazing tree.
